Unique HGV track rod end removal tool from Laser

A good example is this new HGV track rod end removal socket (part number 6443) which has just been introduced, designed and manufactured by Laser Tools in Sheffield.
Track rod end removal can be an awkward job on the HGV, due to the size of the component and dirt and corrosion making them very tight even after the securing clamp has been released. The unique EU Registered design features this tear-drop shaped slot which slips easily over the track rod end but also prevents the socket driving off the joint when turning. The 36mm hex drive allows the use with either a 1/2" drive or 3/4" drive 36mm socket and impact gun combination, for speedy removal.
