Laser Tools has expanded its specialist commercial-vehicle offering with two purpose-built 3/4" drive impact socket sets engineered for workshops that push tools hard: the 9223 Standard Length Impact Socket Set (29pc) and the 9224 Deep Impact Socket Set (29pc). Both ranges are manufactured from high-strength chrome-molybdenum steel, finished in hard-wearing black phosphate and drilled for retaining pin or detent ball use — built for repeat removal of high-torque fastenings on HGVs, plant, agricultural and fleet vehicles.
These aren’t lightweight accessory sockets: they’re thick-walled, impact-quality tools designed to take full advantage of modern 3/4" impact guns — including Laser heavy-duty models — while protecting both operator and fastener.

  • Material & finish: Chrome-molybdenum steel, black phosphate finish for corrosion resistance.
  • Drive: 3/4" square drive, drilled collar for retaining pin/detent ball.
  • Impact rated: Designed specifically for impact-gun use.
  • Case: Supplied in a robust blow-mould storage case for workshop organisation and protection.

 

Both sets cover the same 29 sizes (single-hex / 6-point):
19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38, 40, 41, 42, 46, 50, 52, 55, 58, 60, 63 & 65 mm.

  • 9223 — Standard length: socket lengths range approx. 52–78 mm. Ideal for general heavy-duty workshop use where access is normal and maximum strength is required without excessive length.
  • 9224 — Deep length: socket lengths range approx. 90–105 mm. Designed for recessed fixings, long studs and where extra reach is needed without sacrificing the thick-walled strength required for impact use.
  • Engineered for heavy torque: thick walls and chrome-moly construction reduce deformation under impact and transfer more of the gun’s energy into the fastener (less loss through socket flex).
  • Drilled collar: accept retaining pin or detent ball for safe use with quick-release adaptors and extension systems on busy bays.
  • Specifically matched to impact guns: designed to be used with 3/4" impact tools — including Laser’s 7680 (Impact Wrench 3/4"D) and the new Laser 9208 (Air Impact Wrench 3/4"D with 6" Anvil) — delivering reliable service under high loads.
