HGV floating brake disc hydraulic press kit

The Laser 8145 Floating Brake Disc Hydraulic Press Kit allows the operator to quickly and easily push off the floating brake discs found on many modern HGV and commercial vehicles. The high-load short rams are designed to sit between the disc and the back of the hub allowing hydraulic force to be applied to push off the disc. The unit is equipped with two control valves (one per ram) to allow the pressure to be applied to either both rams together or one at a time, allowing a useful “rocking” action. Hub/disc unit must be removed from axle before disc removal operation can be carried out. Also suitable for pushing off stuck wheels where access permits.
Applications include DAF, Renault and Volvo commercial vehicles. The hydraulic rams are rated at 14 tonne, and fitted with 1 metre hydraulic hoses. Designed to be operated by the Laser 7861 hydraulic hand pump or the Laser 7862 air-powered hydraulic pump.
