Laser Tools appointed Official Partner to Aston Martin Racing

Both companies have been collaborating over recent months to choose a definitive list from the massive Laser Tool catalogue that will give Aston Martin Racing’s technicians the confidence and capability that comes with innovative, quality tools.

Laser’s Managing Director, Martin Smith said, “We are delighted to be making this announcement today. We have a unique synergy with Aston Martin Racing in that our Technical Manager here at Laser Tools, Ryan Brookes, was previously the team’s Number One Mechanic.

“Ryan has been liaising directly with Aston Martin Racing to choose tools suitable for the demanding conditions of endurance racing — as well as reliability, ease of use and speed are paramount to the racing technician and there have been plenty of suitable tools to choose from in the Laser Tools range.”

As the Aston Martin marque celebrates its centenary year, Aston Martin Racing has unveiled its most ambitious motorsport programme to date, as it aims to win both the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Highlighting the success of their return to GT racing in 2012 and its commitment to the World Endurance Championship, the team has confirmed a four car entry into the series: two Vantage GTEs in both the Pro and Am classes. Entry into the series means that each of the four V8-powered Vantage GTEs will compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the third round of the WEC on 22nd-23rd June, making this the largest factory team entry into the event by Aston Martin in the history of the marque. Two potential further entries for Le Mans and selected WEC rounds are on the reserve list.

The specially chosen Official Partners will help in this quest and with Laser Tools it is a true partnership with both companies sharing experience, expertise and technology to ensure success in this exciting project.
