Mercedes Benz Sprinter front lower ball joint removal
Friday 12 July 2013
The Mercedes Benz Sprinter front lower ball joint is a very tight interference fit in the wishbone and a significant force is required to remove the old and fit new ball joints. Heat is not recommended to assist removal as the ball joint has a sealed grease unit under the inner ball. To solve the problem, Laser have just introduced a set of adaptors designed specifically for the Sprinter (part no: 5690) which work with the Press Frame (part no: 5689) and greatly simplify this awkward task.
Designed and manufactured at Laser’s manufacturing facility in Sheffield, these are high quality components, the Press Frame force screw machined from EN 24T through-hardened alloy steel for strength and durability.
The Sprinter adaptors can also be used with a hydraulic workshop press and other adaptors are available to be used with the Press Frame.
A professional kit for the busy workshop
