Often a fastener deep in the engine bay or up behind a dashboard cannot be accessed by a conventional ¼" drive socket and ratchet handle. These little finger ratchets can get in to very tight spaces and with their smooth ratchet even the most difficult to access fasteners can be removed or replaced in seconds.
